Binoculars for astronomy: Helios fieldmaster 7×50 or Celestron skymaster 15×70?
Question by mikig8: Binoculars for astronomy: Helios fieldmaster 7x50 or Celestron skymaster 15x70?
Hi! I'm currently studying Physics/astronomy and would like a pair of binoculars (I have too many birthdays/Xmas to deal with before I can afford a scope!), but I'm not sure what to go for. My budget is around £50. So far the 2 that I've had recommended to me the most are The Helios Fieldmaster 7x50, and the Celestron Skymaster 15x70. Could anyone tell me which of these would be best, and the differences/pros-cons. Thankyou. ![]()
I had also been looking at 10x50s but have not seen any with decent reviews that fit my budget. I have researched things, but being a beginner I'm getting quite confused with all the conflicting advice, but thanks to all who can give me any helpful, constructive replies/recommendations.
