Why is Mars Astronomy is so Cold and Venus is so Hot? aside from the fact the distance from the sun..
Reply:
Mars Astronomy is further from the sun and has a lesser amount of atmosphere then the Earth. Since there is a lesser amount of atmosphere, heat doesn't easily get trapped. And also on Mars, there are no clouds, which trap heat (that's also one reason deserts are freezing during the night, no clouds).
Venus is closer to the sun and COVERED in clouds, which as I said traps heat. Also it has a thicker atmosphere than Earth, which - you guessed it - traps heats. Another reason is Venus's atmosphere is mostly made of carbon dioxide, which is a green house gas. This gas traps heat, and it has trouble escaping the atmosphere. Scientists speculate that perhaps billions of years ago Venus was much like Earth, with oceans and continents. However, since it was too close to the sun, the water evaporated leaving CO2 behind causing Amoxil price the greenhouse effect. In fact, Venus's atmosphere is often referred to as "the greenhouse effect gone wrong"
